Mediation

Mediation can be appropriate for a wide range of disputes. For it to work both parties must voluntarily agree to participate. The mediator is a neutral professional who helps the two parties in conflict to work out a mutually acceptable solution. The meeting usually takes place in a neutral venue and often aims to reach a solution within one day. Some services and consultants specialise in mediating for voluntary organisations, see resources.
