Overview 2002-2005

  • Increase the number and range of training events to meet demand and to move towards self-financing.
  • Develop online matching to increase numbers and provide a broader service for advisors.
  • Grow video production to achieve self-financing. Continue Voluntary Matters and Wired-Up Communities projects to position ourselves as an agency of delivery for government
  • Develop themes and campaigns on the Community Channel and build an audience via closer ties with charities and marketing to the general public.
  • Establish a corporate membership scheme.

Organisational aims 2002-2005 (year 0 is 2001-2002)

Aim 1 - increase the number of organisations helped directly (does not include viewing figures or web hits)

Year 0 - 3,100 (c.3,300 achieved)

Year 1 - 5,775

Aim 2 - increase the number of new Media Trust Advisors

Year 0 - 420 (c.320 achieved)

Year 1 - 500

Aim 3 - increase customer satisfaction (includes evidence of longer-term impact)

Year 0 - 80% (c.82% achieved)

Year 1 - 80%

Aim 4 - move the Media Trust towards self-financing (excluding Channel and UK offices)

Year 0 - 46% of costs covered by sales income
