Smooth running: Wai Yin Chinese Women's Centre
| Every

on the services offered. |
With a background in accounts and administration, Donna Ngan
was determined to get systems up to scratch at the Wai Yin
Chinese Women's Centre in Manchester, even at the risk of
making herself unpopular. Every phone call, visit or outing
was carefully logged, and users of the centre were encouraged
to give feedback on the services offered.
The end result was an impressive range of records which reflected
the organisation's commitment to quality. The Wai Yin
used the information to paint an accurate picture of the group
for open days, invitations, referrals and their annual report.
Comment
Keeping accurate records may seem like drudgery, but it
pays off handsomely when a large charity like Help the Aged
was so impressed that it came on board to help Wai Yin obtain
funding for a new project.
