Membership

Having a membership can be an effective and constant source of funding as well as a means of keeping people informed about your campaigns, lobbying and services. If members pay to join your organisation, even if it is a small amount, they are making an investment in you that can make them feel more involved and supportive.

If you are considering a direct appeal to members through a mail-out, keep the letter concise and clear, explaining why the money is needed and what it will be used for. Also remember to inform everyone about the results of the campaign and to thank people who have donated.
