Annual report
Annual reports can be used effectively as a tool for promoting
your message. The requirement for a hefty annual report can
often be tedious for even the most impassioned campaigner.
But think of it as an opportunity to put forward your main
message to a wider audience. If you are a campaigning organisation,
list your principal activities and show clearly what your
priorities have been. Annual reports usually contain:
- A statement by the trustees of your charity about the
main activities.
- Lists of your trustees, members of staff and membership
of any committees.
- The annual accounts showing your income and expenditure
and balance sheet for the year in question.
Although an annual report is supposed to be a look back at
your previous activities, there is no reason why you shouldn't
have a section setting out your campaigning plans for the
coming twelve months.
